Michael Murphy for Kansas
I am grateful to the voters of the 114th District for the support I received in the recent primary race. Nearly six of ten voters said “I Like Mike” with their vote, I ask those who voted for Mr Booth to join us as we take on my Democrat opponent. The stakes could not be higher. From president down to the local postions, we must fight to stop the move towards bigger and bigger government with socialst agendas.
The 114th District deserves a representative who will reflect their values and fight against an ever growing state bureaucracy and an over-reaching state judiciary. I believe in a balanced budget, efficient government and less regulation. I will work to pass tax reform over the veto pen of Laura Kelly, and work to protect the unborn by reversing the “pro abortion” ruling of the ultra-liberal Kansas Supreme Court. We must pass the Value Them Both amendment and amend the way state supreme court justices are chosen to mirror the federal process.
I hope to serve as a citizen legislator, in the spirit of our Founding Fathers. I will work diligently to represent the hard working taxpayers of my district. I agree with Ronald Reagan who once observed, “In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem, government is the problem.”
My goal is a smaller, more efficient, more effective government.

Impact of Covid 19 on Kansas
While I believe the virus is real and certainly can be deadly for some, I also believe the “One Size Fits All” response has been more damaging to Kansans and our economy than the virus itself.
What works in Kansas City or Topeka is not the same as Sterling or Zenda, measures taken in Lawrence or Wichita will of necessity be different from those in Arlington or Kingman.
Our Declaration of Independence states that governments are instituted to secure our rights. Government at every level has strayed from this vital mission.
